Anyhow, we are in the midst of name selecting for our site, and we would love to hear YOUR opinion for what you think our site should be called, and what we should have in it.
Yup kiddies, we would like to give you a chance to participate in our discussions, so you can feel some pride in being part of our community :)
Unfortunately right now, I can't divulge our forum, but please post ideas down, along with your username/email so I can submit it into our discussions.
And by the way guys, can I count on you for helping me post the email for me to be contacted once our site is up and the word that we would love you guys to death for donations? Thanks :)

Hey, I'm Breaky in Mangahut (also got banned, because I thanked too many posts from the mutiny xD I didn't even get to post a single constructive rant [and you can bet I wanted to do so xD]).
ReplyDeleteFunny enough, I already sent you an e-mail as a reply to what was going on in the Mangahut forums with the title "Neo-Mangahut".
I think that name is funny, because on the one hand it represents the site we all once loved so dearly, not because it belonged to kaiten, but because of its great uploaders and staff ;). On the other hand, it puts a final end to the "old" KaitenV-Mangahut and declares a new era, hence "Neo"-Mangahut.
Reasons why you might not agree with this name:
1. You might not want to be related to the "old" Mangahut anymore in anyway. Therefore, you might look for a totally brand new name or...
2. You might not want to deal with the "old" Mangahut in such a harsh way. You actually wouldn't mind if the "old" Mangahut would continue to go forward and eventually become a rival of this site or...
3. You simply might not like the name. =P
My suggestion(s): www.neomangahut.com or www.neo-mangahut.com

This will be more of a community of like minded individuals than a business like a manga cafe, but there is no reason you shouldn't make money for all your hard work.Ads don't bug me at all as long as they aren't pop ups.
And I'm not sure there is a word for a manga commune.Who wants to labeled a dirty hippy, anyway?(I'm kidding)
It's a pretty obscure name so the likelihood of it being taken is relatively small.
Anyway, I hope everything gets off the ground smoothly and you aren't targeted for e-thuggery.
Honestly I wouldn't put it past some people.(>_<)

www.mangabase.com makes me end up at a strange site, www.mangabase.net makes me end up at a noobish manga site, where they have like 20 different mangas and are at chapter 473 in naruto (where Kisame fights the Hachibi) lol! (*whispern00bs!whisper*) xD

www.mangakissa.com also makes me end up at a similar site to www.mangabase.com (you know, sites that appear to be real sites, but actually they just try to redirect you to other searches, you can check it out for yourselves if you don't know what I mean)
www.mangahome.net is available (LOL at www.mangahome.com, check it out xD)
When hearing "manganews.com/.net" I'd associate it with a site that informs about manga releases and debates about certain mangas, but not that it offers mangas to read online, so I disagree with that one
(just checked it, manganews.net already exists and really appears to be just like I expected)
www.shinmanga.com already exists and is some kind of french site... www.shinmanga.net redirects you to www.shinmanga.com
So that leaves us with

ReplyDeleteAnyways, on the note of names, i have several names. But also, i thought that if the name has "manga" in it, won't it be more easily found on search engines? I also beleive it should be an easy name to remember. I ALSO think (yes i've been thinking alot XD) that it would the only way that the other names like Springroll and Insomniacs and stuff, would be effective is if you expect the site to become the next number 1 or top 5, otherwise it would be hard to indirectly relate it to manga, if you get what i mean.
But yes, the sites i got are:

Finally about the recent attack against MH with the sig and avatar modification, I really hope none of you has anything to do it. You had your fight with Nination you rightfully left and stated even here that you don't want to have anything to do with MH anymore. Personally I find that attack childish and of very bad taste. He might be on a power trip, he might be an ass but if he wants to save the site i say let him, it will live a bit more till he gets another ego-attack and kill MH for good. If you really know who did it I'd advise you tell him to stop you'll only make a bad name for you.

As for names...hmm...well i dont think it would be too good to call it buttrapingkaiten.com even though it pleases me soo much. I do give props to the notmangahut.com one. I dont have many ideas myself but i think simple mutinymanga.com would do just fine. Plus the newcomers that show up would ask, "Hey! how come its called 'mutiny' manga.com?" And then we gather in a circle while VLING retells the tale of The Uprising Against the Incompitent Leader/ The Great Mangahut Forum War...ahh the olden days...

But to be fair if this site would be strong then a strong name should be used. I was also thinking like, LavaManga.com, with a fiery fierce and strong. Manga.net is easy and simple to memorize, I agree with you supersath.

I know this is slightly off topic but I have found that on Manga hut there are posts that are being made that show the mutiny in a negative light. The posts contain vulgarity and I don't know if you want this new site tied with them. I just thought I would mention this because I found the posts disrespectful to the cause.
