Hey guys,
I'm terribly sorry for the long absence based on my part. My personal life has been pacing forward rather fast with my college preparation,work,life and all has been one helluva rollercoaster and it's not stopping anytime soon.
First things first, I've been keeping in touch with the designer for the progress of the site, he had some personal matters to attend to so he told me he's lagging behind in it. Also, he has other paid jobs to do, so I'm trying my best to make sure to remind him not to forget about our site.
If I'm not active as much for this, it's due to the fact that I have alot going on in life, but I'll do what I can to push the site progress forward.
Once again, sorry about this guys, I really hope I don't have to drop out of this project but it seems like I can't give as much as I could about a month ago as things changed too much in my life.

static, I know you don't understand a college student's life, since you are still in junior high school, but things come up on an almost daily basis. You have no right to go on a rampage like that, insulting Vling like that. I for one am thankful that she is putting her time into this, and hope she can continue to do so, and if not, I will be sad to see her go. Please keep any negative comments to yourself in the future.

@vtaltos1 lol sry to say that i am a university student and i have a lot of free time . but taking in consideration i only study enough for the Bs i will subtract 2 hours of my free time to study extra for the As which leave us with 2-3 hours a day excluding weekends . so it's not that hard if u are really passionate about it. that's why i said to vling that if she doesn't think that she can continue just quit now , so u dont overwork urself and dont give us false hope.

Must I report my daily life to you? Who are you to judge what is important to my life? For your information, I don't post stuff about my life to gain sympathy or understanding from others as you did.
But I can assure you that something did happen in the past month to make me change the way and views I have now. Things aren't as simple and carefree anymore.
I'm planning to go to college, did it ever occur to you that I'm taking extra classes and working at the same time? Due to personal reasons I had to drop out of school a couple of months ago but I'm not sitting on my ass whining and not doing anything about it. I'm choosing my life over the cyber world where I'm actually working hard to get into college and make a living on my own without my parents' help.
True people are disappointed, as I am about this matter, I could've not posted anything and left quietly without saying anything and leaving the other mutiny admins to deal with this but I'm actually putting this up to inform you guys. In no way am I doing this to make myself look good, what have I got to prove to you, someone who I will never meet in my life, and hope I never do?

It is none of our business why it is delayed, or anything anyway. Static, i beleive you were just arguing for the sake of arguing. There was no need for that comment as you didn't take in to consideration that different people have different lifestyes and issues. From what i have read, VLING and the other staff are doing it for FREE, with their own time and money (- the donations).

@Static I hope you are never injured in any way during your life. I fear you would not be able to handle the emotional repercussion of true loneliness. To help you I recommend two things:

Your life is good to take charge of, but that does not mean that your cyber life isn't as important also. You just need to create a timetable where you take initiative to do certain things at a certain time. It is what I do when I gave myself time to write this or study for an exam.

-If you or themutiny staffs was frequent with posting updates on what was happening, I doubt you'd feel sorry for anything, because we'd already be informed earlier. You made your new fans wait for like 2 weeks on mangasaurus saying "April is the time"...I think I made my point.
Other themutiny staffs could have said something if you life was that "precious".
(BTW, it is now May 1, but it still says April despite Vling's announcement...lol)

And don't misunderstand me, I think they should have said something sooner; because even with a complicated life and being perhaps depressed, it's educated to take 5 min to answer people's expectations, particularly those who invested money in this prject.
BUT, it's "free", this is not their job, nor do they are getting paid by the hour to do the site. So I won't fret over a delay.
I've only followed loosely, but all I can say is the opening is anticipated. Don't let advertisers bully you. (They're already doing so with other sites, FYI) There's options you can look at to answer this dilemma.
ReplyDeleteTake care of your own stuff before bringing it to working on your site. Regardless of if you're a student, or a working living in the real world adult, stress makes for crappy output. If it's a stress that never ends, discard what you can, minimize the rest.
I think you folks seem to have things well in hand, I am seriously wondering about what you -haven't- got handled. (Obviously, if students are primarily engaged in this project, funds are a major issue...) There are some folks following who might be able to help...but specifics would be loverly.
And I do so thoroughly concur. Static should retain his XD...It's a laughing face which is all I can do when reading anything he types. There's a reason the term 'Eurotrash' exists, folks.

i don't know VLING but i can say this, it's not easy to go to school with what they are asking for tuition (especially with out of district fees)

ReplyDeleteAs some people already stated, this is a voluntary work by the mutiny and we cannot expect them to be finished whenever we'd like. Just be patient and don't complain.
Furthermore, if you guys decide to give the idea of mangasaurus up, you should say so. We would have to accept it, it wouldn't help us in any way if we were to be upset by that.
I just want to state that I know that most of you already are patient and very understanding, it's just people like Static who force me to say to stay calm over and over again.
EVEN if someone has 10 minutes spare time after school/work/studies, I can honestly understand that you don't want to spend those precious minutes/hours with keeping everybody up to date and I believe there are more out there who could understand that.

Simple. I didn't get updated on how long it would take, and I assumed that the other staff would be in touch with Rob with what's going on and post on the blog but I guess they're busy as well.
I chose to update after a while when I gave Rob a little more time and he couldn't complete it in time. It wasn't on our schedule to not be done.

ReplyDeleteI wish that the mangasaurus had been usable buy now, because most of other websites are currently banning mature manga.. Btw, what is the url for Azula's site?
ReplyDeleteHer site is being made public in 2 years from now, due to getting enough resources in every aspect. Since MangaSaurus is going to exist in a month or so, there is no need to rush in finalizing a website that will most likely become more powerful.

-this weird advertising thing to get allot of visitors.
-The people in her group for website designs have reach 28 people who are working intensely on it.
There are other things that I do not know. I honestly don't know anything about Azula's site. They are very secretive on the things they are planning. But the site isn't out yet. When it is, I'll let everyone know.

Well, this whole google-doesn't-allow-mature-manga thing going on will most likely also have consequences for mangasaurus... I don't know for sure (VLING will probably give a statement to this once she gets back online) but I'm *pretty* sure that they also planned to include google ads, which would mean they would have to refrain from adding mature rated manga. It's either that or they'll have to find another supporter instead of google.
ReplyDeleteThank a certain guy that is called Mark Something who simply posted (probably out of boredom) that google supports child porn (-> sites that have manga like dance in the vampire bund or others), now they are having all mature content banned for those sites who receive support from google. =/
So, only the loli-free manga will prevail? YES!

By the way, I'm not happy with this either. I'm ok with not having loli and shatakon, but google "doesn't allow" a lot of other stuff as well. Like gore (but only aplyed in manga apparently).
