Theres gonna be ALOT of angry people out there soon

Well thanks to international copyright laws and a bunch of other shit, being a manga scanner has now become a serious offense to corporations in Japan and their branches in the US (like Viz Media).

About all the sites going down, fml. The feeling that OneManga is going down just feels weird. idk about you guys but i started reading manga there. It was my first source, and has been one for almost 6 years now.

Well, this site isnt gonna be up this week (idk when really) but my advice...

Find some place to download manga. yes. its that time again. DOWNLOADING MANGA. I havent done that since i found out it was available to read online. My recommendation is go to your favorite manga on your online reading source (OM, or the like) and then find out who the scanners are. Then go to their websites and just keep up to date with them i guess.

Direct sources are quick and reliable.

Good luck

  1. Also a good listing is baka updates manga. They don't host it but they tell you who scanlates it and gives you some of the data on the scanlators. Granted I don't know how long they will be up.

  2. So now you confused me is this site going to happen or no?

  3. No, this site is not going to happen.
Once Vling took their leave, it was already obvious that it was dead.

Especially when they handed the blog over to Aznasim (someone who isn't even capable of anything this big - and isn't even familiar with the old MHut staff) it was already too obvious that the mangasausrus thing was dead. The site also died 2 months ago.

Anyways, I expect nothing more form this blog other than Aznasim & Sinraeyan fucking each other under the red hot nothing-ness.

    Later Dip shitz.

  5. I dont think you read my intro correctly sir. I've been part of themutiny from the first hour it was made. i was part of the MH community for more than 2 years. I posted alot of manga in the while i was there, 15 mins after they were released mind you.

Ps, why are you still here?

  6. ok

    >sinraeyan please go die in a fire

    anyway keep going

  7. Sinraeyan ( one with a dp ) baka updates wont go down since they arent upsetting anyone. Also I havent seen any scantalator site put any news up regarding the same. I dont think they would be excused from it though so it doesnt seem to make sense.

ps For most people just go franky house scans. They pretty much put the best quality scans on all popular mangas

  8. i imagine there will always be a place to read manga online. its just like watching movies online. it may be hard to find it, but it can be found. onemanga isn't a major deal to me. i chocked a little when i first read their anouncement, but soon after i thought to myself that i really didn't use it all that much anymore. theres 100s of other sites. hell, theres hundreds of pages on google for other sites. i imagine it will be a long time before most of the other sites are even slightly effected by this. onemanga was the largest, thats why it went down so fast. i know its probably only a matter of time before other ones go down, but i imagine that matter of time will be a very long time. and even if they do all go down, theres always google to download, if need be. but i guess the whole finding a place to download is for simplicity more than anything. google is your friend, and usually if you can't find something on google, it doesn't exist. meh, i hope other sites don't go down though. guess we'll wait and see. either way though, theres downloading and google, so its all good. i imagine no one even knows who i am, since i've commented like once, more of a silent stalker of the board than anything, lol, but theres my 2 cents, anyway. don't check that often, so if i don't comment back if someone actually responds in anyway to this, then sorry about that. enjoy your manga, peoples :P

  9. drunkenape i dont think the problem arises on where to find but rather when. Its ok for normal weekly releases but mangas that do not follow a fixed schedule are gonna get out of touch now. We wont know when to check if a release is out, earlier it was through the manga updates but without those it will be a whole lot tougher. Not to mention I dont think we will be startin new mangas anymore.

  10. i personally just look at the bottom of the final page. 99% of the time its got in what issue it will be out in, and what month. for the ones that arent released fast, anyway. i imagine we'll still get new manga, eithe way though. like i said, we can get movies. hell, we can get books to read online even, if you search. i know it may be punishable now, but wasn't it always? people aren't just going to stop scanning them, because its punishable. otherwise people would stop downloading movies as well. i know it may get harder, but it won't happen for a long time if it does. and once it does, it won't be that much harder. theres always google to know when the less popular manga's are going to be released anyway. i could be wrong though. maybe it will be far harder than i think. but honestly, i seriously doubt it. more likely it will be sites going down more often, then coming back up, and random mangas being deleted. but thats why i have 5 diff sites i go to. and google what i can't find. i imagine the hardest it will get is like trying to find dragonball online to read. its pretty freaking hard. but even then its simple enough to download. i do get what you mean that it may be a bit harder to find dates for the less popular ones, but just google it and its easy enough. and new manga not starting? i seriously doubt that. new movies come out on the internet. new manga will too.

  11. i dont mean the new mangas wont come out. What I mean is we wont know about em that well. But mayb if we are active enough on om (or any other manga) forums that wont be an issue either.

  12. ok, i see what you mean. yeah, it may be a bit challenging. but theres forums anyway. were thinking to hard on this though. OM going down just means they went after the big dog first. its going to be a long time before any other sites go down. either way though, since reading manga online is stealing, technically, i guess it shouldn't be easy to find, lol.

  13. August from what I have heard for Mangafox. However, mangareader.net is still up last I checked.

  14. hmm, i don't see anything on mangafox closing down in the forums??? maybe its just a fear, not a known fact. or its becuase i'm on the beta site, but it seems to be the same forums.

  15. I guess that was just a rumor. I looked into it more and found nothing of the sort. Sorry for spreading incorrect information. DX

  16. i'm just glad it was only a rumor. if mangafox closed i would be quite sad, since its reletively fast loading, and one of the best that i know of. it seems to me that onemanga's closing was more of a moral decision than a forced one, from what i've read. i could be wrong though, i guess.

  17. I think it is only a matter of time for Manga fox. But that is obviously my opinion. It is well known enough to suffer from the publishers.

  18. it is closing down in august, not a rumour. I read it in their forums but I dnt remember where. Sorry to disappoint.

  19. Let me sum this up in one carefully chosen phrase...

    Ugh.

  20. I think everything will work out. The record producers did the same thing when it came to sites uploading free music (napster,kazaa,limewire...ect). These sites eventually lost there legal battles and started charging for music but other forms of free downloading took there place i.e torrent sites. Now torrent sites are in legal battles too but it's a lengthy process to shut down a site and when a big name site goes down others take its place. I think that scan sites will work out the same way. Some might get shut down but other forms of free scan viewing will take their place.

  21. that pretty much summed up my entire thoughts, as i was saying in my other posts, even if some do go down, more will come. manga viewing on the internet won't stop. it might get slower though. and i'm not taking anyones words until mangafox makes a front page anouncement that its closing down. considering that a read a post from mods just a few days ago that they were hiring mods, i kind of doubt it will, not for a while at least. who knows though for sure.
